Usable pallets are immediately sorted by type and size. Pallets that need repair go to our repair department, where we assess which parts need replacing. This way, each pallet becomes 100% operational again.
Recycling
Pallets that are no longer fit for sale are reused or recycled. At Houtsma Pallets, we reuse 95% of all materials by turning them into usable planks of various lengths or into blocks for other pallets.
Remaining wood components are used to fuel our own heating system, which powers the heat treatment facility. This sustainable approach runs through our entire product range. Many of our pallets get a second life — discover them in our assortment.
